ALL MOUNTAIN - DIRECTIONAL TWIN

Our experiMENTAL Division’s big guy “dream board” project gets a nose job! Constant testing and refinement by Trevor Phillips, Krush Kulesza, Neil Green and Kurt Jensen make this the best larger gentlemen’s power freestyle stick on the planet. A slightly more relaxed longer nose shape for pow float. This ape is absolutely resort ready... hit the rails or put it on rail and trench, your toes won’t drag but your knuckles might. Been everywhere

I'm 6'2 185, size 12 boot, and have riden this board over the last 7 years that I'm going to swap my old one in for a new one. I'd keep riding it if the topsheet and corners weren't starting to look pretty beat up. This board has lasted me on the solid ice groomers in Ontario, to sun baked pow in BC, to extreme steeps in the alps, to waist deep snorkel powder in Japan. This is the one you need if you enjoy traveling with a single board. If you straddle the weight line like I do it will feel pretty stiff to start. Over the years it has softened up a bit to be a board I do not want to let go.

Where have you been my whole life?

If you are comparable in physical stature to Big Foot, this board is an absolute game-changer. It feels like I'm riding a normal board again! That said, you better be on the clock if you're going to rip this bad boy, it floats on powder like a dream and eats through chunder for breakfast, but it takes some POWER to tame this beast. 170UW LFG!

Skunk Ape 170UW 2020

This board does what is design for. It is a responsive and maneuverable. I have a 12 boot size with a board 170 UW. It is so good in powder doesn't drown at all. However I have some issues with control in it with higher speed. It is geting a bit shiky.

170 UW

I wear a size 13 boot, and love the control on edge this board has when carving! So fun, rock solid, no booting out. It does have a learning curve because of the width, but once you get comfortable rolling over on the edges it is a fantastic board for taller/heavier riders.

Amazing!

I took my new 173 UW to Heavenly today. It was amazing. My last Lib was a 1995 Litigator. I’m 6’3” and 240. Size 12 boots. Carved the groomers very well. I will say the heelside turn initially was a bit off. Then I initiated the turns with a shallow front foot and shifted back. Made a huge difference. 1st board I have ridden in 30+ years without toe/heel drag.
